HELP needed for Walker Day

Hi Folks,

I am in need of some additional help for Walker Day on June 28th. It’s really is a lot of fun to pitch in for a few hours and get to know a few more of your community members in the process.

I need two more people to assist in setting up and selling at the yard sale. We pull everything we’ve collected out of the old station out back, price it and sell it. It’s pretty straight forward. You can arrive around 7am and be done by 10. Did I mention the free lunch?

I also need a few people help sell tickets at the welcome table and a few more to help sell raffle tickets for the 50/50 drawing. This will be from around 11am-1pm. Again…did I mention the free lunch?

One last thing. Gene Tomek has again, generously offered to sponsor the food for Walker Day, and the Walker community church will sponsor all the water, (of live), for the event. I am still looking for a sponsor for the soda and other beverages at $150. We take these roughly $500 additional contributions and sell them off for about $2000. It’s all profit for the Fire department if it’s all sponsored. If you have considered boosting your financial support for this year, here’s a great way to do it…and sure, lunch is on me.

If you haven’t swept you house for items to donate, grab a box and go for it. Donations have been coming in very slowly for this years yard sale. Any good condition items like household and sporting goods, books, albums, clocks, tables, lamps, chairs, building supplies, tools, coats, etc…We can sell almost any good condition item.

Please contact me if you’d like to pitch in, sponsor the beverages, donate items or make a cake for Walker Day.

Thanks much and I hope to see you all at Walker Day 2014.
