Roger and his wife Joellyn have been in Walker since 1998, becoming fulltime residents in 2002 which is when Roger joined the fire department. He’s been the Fire Chief since 2012.

Clyde McKay serves as President of the Walker Fire Protection Association and is a full-time Walker resident. Born in the United Kingdom, he was raised in Hong Kong before beginning a career in the consumer electronics manufacturing industry. He moved to the United States in 1991 and made Arizona his home in 1995 and became a US citizen in 2022.
Clyde and his wife Shelley, have three children all with strong ties to public service. They have been in Walker for 10 years and upon purchasing their home they were quick to get involved in their community through volunteering, running a local Facebook page for owners and Clyde becoming a WFPA Board Member.
As a REALTOR® and long-time community volunteer, Clyde is passionate about supporting Walker, improving public safety, and helping ensure the long-term success of the Walker Fire Protection Association and the community it serves.

Bill’s grandparents came to Walker as summer renters in 1947 when Bill was 5 yrs old. Walker has been a Weekend retreat for the family ever since. He retired from law enforcement in 1998 and still operates a Private Investigation service. His grandfather was a founding member of the WFPA and Bill has served 14 years on the WFPA BOD and was President for 13 of those years.

I have been in Walker since 2010. In 2019 I was elected to the board and became the treasurer.
In 2021 I attended the AWIMA fire academy and also serve as a volunteer firefighter for Walker.
I have created many close friendships with the people of this community and enjoy my time spent here.

Following careers as a home builder and pastor, Bill now works as an Author, Speaker, and Teacher. He has been a regular guest of close friends in Walker since 1975. As he looked forward to retirement, he bought his own home here in 2020. In 2022 he became a full time resident. He enjoys participation in WFPA activities and can frequently be found at the pancake griddle, the fish fryer and the Walker Day grill.
