Red Flag Warnings

The links below will show any burn restrictions in Yavapai County that originate from the US Forest Service. This will be useful as we move into ongoing burn restrictions later this spring.

http://firerestrictions.us/az/az-yavapai-county/

Also a related site is the City of Prescott burn permit page which pertains to Walker even though we are in the county.

If only one of the two links above shows burn restrictions then that means no burning.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now…or will during the warning period.  A combination of strong winds and low relative humidities will create explosive fire growth potential.

A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur.  Look for later forecasts and possible upgrades to red flag warnings.

Please curtail outside burning during these times.
