I am also looking for four volunteers to help for a few hours at the rummage sale.

Thanks much!

Correction to WFPA Proxy Form

The Proxy form contained in the recent newsletter has a typo that restricts the vote for WFPA Board candidates to three.

There are four vacancies this year and Proxies can have up to four votes for Board Candidates.

A corrected form is available on the WFPA Website at:

http://walkerfire.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/WFPA-Proxy-Form-and-Instructions-2014-revised-2.pdf

The correct start time for the Annual Meeting is 9:00 a.m. on May 24, 2014 at the Walker Fire Station 4980 E Walker Rd.

Our First Pancake Breakfast of 2014

In addition to a great crowd, our first pancake Breakfast brought a wet and white surprise.  What a way to start our summer season, snow in April.

We have create a gallery page that includes a few photos taken during our first Pancake Breakfast.  http://walkerfire.org/gallery    You will need to login to the Walkerfire website to view the photos.

Your Secretary Russ Courtney and Jennifer Ritter (both from Chicago by the way) huddled up against the snowy cold.

The welcome moisture highlighting our fire trucks in picturesque beauty.

Thanks to the volunteers making these events possible and thanks to those who braved the snow to put over $650.00 in the kitty between Merchandise Sales and Donations.

Our community rocks.
