Walker Fire needs your help

This Saturday we will be doing a cleanup at the station and we need at least one weed eater to clean up the orchard area. If you have one and would be willing to lend it to the department for an hour or two this Saturday August 17 please bring it by the station around 8:30am.

Lost Dog

Lost near Potato Patch, 2840 E Tunnel Rd…not too far from Walker Rd.  Last seen Thursday, August 1, around 7am.

Tyra, a medium sized black and white shetland sheepdog.

She does have tags and one has a cell number on it ..  (602) 743-5487

If you see or know her whereabouts, please contact Jen at 602-743-5487 or via email at jenobrien777@gmail.com

Thanks!

Thurs, Aug 22: Excavate and prep for the slab
Fri, Aug 23: Form and reinforce for the slab and County inspection
Sat, Aug 24: Pour the slab

Mountain Art Market

Unfortunately, the Walker Art Market that was scheduled for August 10th has been cancelled. This is due to conflicting shows and poor vendor sign up. We are hoping to get one planned for next summer.

Fire Ban Lifted

Yavapai County has lifted the fire ban that has been in place although there are exceptions in the southern part of the county where there has been less precipitation.

The Fire Department would still point out the need to remain very cautious when engaging in any sort of activity involving flame or where there could be any sparks involved. We would request that for these activities you have a charged hose line nearby.
